Traffic Engineering

Smarter movement for real journeys.

Shaping how people and vehicles move to, from and through a development.

Our Integrated Services

Consultation, collaboration, integration and innovation.

Traffic engineering influences how developments are accessed, how movement is managed and how sites connect to the surrounding road network. It plays a key role in supporting efficient, well-functioning environments across a wide range of sectors.

For more than 20 years, our Traffic Engineers have built long-term partnerships with public and private clients across hospitals, schools, shopping centres, transport hubs, residential developments and industrial sites. That breadth of experience means our team understands not just the engineering, but the approval processes, the stakeholder pressures and the real-world constraints that determine whether a solution actually gets built.

Our engineers are problem-solvers first. Whether the challenge is a complex State Significant Development Application or a local residential access issue, they bring the same rigour, creativity and commitment to finding solutions that serve both the project and the people who will use it every day.

Movement infrastructure carries a quiet social responsibility. The intersections we model, the access points we design, the transport plans we write — they determine how safely and efficiently people navigate their communities. Our team takes that seriously.

We deliver traffic engineering that gets developments approved and keeps communities moving safely.

  • What we deliver

Our Traffic Engineers bring a suite of integrated capabilities that respond to what each project actually needs from the earliest planning stages through to construction and operation.

    • Traffic Impact Assessments: thorough documentation and reporting for development applications, from local council residential projects through to State Significant Developments for hospitals and schools, providing approval authorities with everything needed to consider a project favourably
    • Intersection Modelling: utilising SIDRA to identify and resolve issues before they impact the road network, comparing alternative treatments including signals, roundabouts, and give way/stop controls to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow
    • Road Safety Audits: qualified road safety auditors providing expert insights at any project stage, identifying issues related to sight distance, road geometry, lighting and pedestrian-vehicular conflicts
    • Design Advice: detailed vehicle analysis ensuring swept paths and vertical geometries are compliant and tailored to the users of the site, including car parks, loading docks and access points
    • Construction Traffic Management Plans: site-specific CTMPs that meet local government requirements, managing site access controls, construction vehicle management and local traffic impacts, with Traffic Control Plans prepared as required
    • Sustainable Transport Plans: Green Travel Plans and Transport Access Guides that reduce car dependency, support walking, cycling and public transport, and improve access to services and infrastructure for the communities they serve
